PORT HENRY | Mountain Lake Services joins the nation in celebrating Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) during the week of Sept. 8-14.
For half a century, our DSPs—known by various titles over the decades such as house parents or residential counselors, have been the driving force behind the mission to partner with people of all abilities to live their very best lives.
Mountain Lake Services said its DSPs are more than just staff. “They are a bonded team. They are the ones who share smiles, lend a helping hand, and make a real difference every single day. From the Board of Directors to each person we support, we offer our deepest thanks to our DSPs for the unwavering commitment, compassion, and care they bring to our community,” MLS officials said Aug. 29.
“Direct Support Professionals have the unique ability to change lives in the most profound ways,” said Jack Mudge, Executive Director. “Whether it’s through a comforting word or helping someone achieve a long-held dream, our DSPs make the world a brighter place. We are deeply grateful for their dedication, which has been the bedrock of Mountain Lake Services for 50 years.”
