Direct Support Professionals Several Positions Available!
Mountain Lake Services always accepts applications for the Direct Support Professional positions. We are currently accepting applications for full-time, awake overnight, and relief staff. Many people have found working as relief staff to be an excellent supplementary income or a path to eventual full-time employment with the agency.
  • Description: Promote individualization by offering choices. Encourage people to be independent and actively involved in all aspects of their daily lives. Provide physical assistance, training, counseling, and emotional support as needed. Be actively involved in developing supports and services to each person served. Carry out specific strategies identified in the individualized service plan (ISP) and provide required documentation. Network within the community to help develop friendships and natural supports. The starting rate is up to $19.05/hour. $1000.00 BONUS AFTER 6 MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT.
  • Requirements: HS diploma or GED degree and a clean driving record. Previous experience with intellectually disabled people is a plus.

Behavior Support Specialist Intern
  • Description: Opportunities to learn and assist in the process for Evaluating and Writing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support, and Monitoring Plans Opportunities for observing and participating with clinicians during staff training for support plans and skills necessary to run support plans. Opportunities for observing and participating with clinicians, skill acquisition or Discrete Trial training to individuals in need of additional support for learning skill.
  • Requirements: Pursuing Master’s degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology or a related human services field; or New York State license in Mental Health Counseling. Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification preferred or working towards.
  • Hours: Flexible schedule 30-40 hours a week to meet the needs of individuals supported.
Assistant Director
  • Description: Provide supervision and leadership in the overall operation of Residences and Services. Work with the Director to coordinate and supervise daily operations. Coordinate efforts with managers, staff, and individuals receiving services. Provide administrative support in the absence of the Director. Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Requirements: Skills in supervision and management are required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required, Masters, preferred. Experience providing services to people with I/DD.
  • Location: Northern and Southern Region of Essex County, NY.
Senior Manager
  • Description: Supervise overall operation of the Residences and Services under the direction of the Regional Director. Provide staff feedback and suggestions to increase the active participation of individuals receiving services. Provide oversight and support to Managers/Assistant Manager and administrative support in the absence of the Regional Director.
  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field. At least three years experience working with people with developmental disabilities including at least one year in a supervisory role is required.
  • Hours: This is a Full Time, 40 hour per week position, with Saturday and Sunday off.
Manager
  • Description: Oversees general operations for services including staffing, purchasing, physical environment and maintenance. Directly supervises and evaluates direct support professionals. Ensures development and implementation of all services with attention to the well-being and quality of life for each person.
  • Requirements: Bachelors degree in Human Service Field. Two years experience working in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred. Skills in supervision and management. Written and verbal communication skills required. High School Diploma with 10 years of significant experience with a proven track record at Mountain Lake Services or 5 years of significant experience at Mountain Lake Services and 5 years of experience at an agency that provides services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Hours: This is a Full Time, 40 hour per week position, with Saturday and Sunday off.
Assistant Manager New Position
  • Description: Include assisting the Manager in daily operation of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Major job functions consist of ensuring implementation of services and needed documentation, supervising staff, and enhancing the quality of life of the people we support.
  • Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Service Field. One year of experience working in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred. Skills in supervision and management. Written and verbal communication skills required. High School Diploma with 5 years of significant experience with a proven track record at Mountain Lake Services may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Location: Port Henry, Keeseville, Jay
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30 pm. However, flexibility essential in order to meet the demands of the job.
Training Specialist
  • Description: Join the Mountain Lake Services team. Work collaboratively with various teams to fulfill our mission for people to live their very best lives. Support with staffing, teamwork and communication. You will get to contribute, observe, and provide feedback and on the job training to Direct Support Professionals. Will become certified to teach Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention, National Safety Council, First Aid and CPR

Office Manager - Quality & Training New Position
Quality & Training Department
  • Description: Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Quality & Training Office. Providing advanced secretarial, administrative, and technical support to the Corporate Compliance Officer, Associate Director of Incident & Risk, and other department personnel. Oversee and monitor compliance with training requirements for all employees and affiliates. The position starts at $19/hour.
  • Requirements: High School Diploma required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and in the use of office machines. Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Experience working in various software platforms and generating reports preferred.
  • Location: Port Henry
  • Hours: This is a Full-Time 40-hour per week position. Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Description: Provide outpatient care in an Article 16 Clinic setting to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have psychiatric mental health needs. Within the clinic setting, develop treatment plans in collaboration with family members and professional staff. This position entails diagnosing, conducting assessments, prescribing medications, and providing psychosocial examinations and emergency psychiatric services.
  • Requirements: An RN license to practice in New York State is required, as well as a Master's degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing from a state-approved and accredited school for psychiatric training. Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is also required. Experience with people with developmental disabilities is desirable and preferred. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively with staff is a must.

Physical Therapist
  • Description: Mountain Lake Services is seeking a part-time or full-time NYSED Certified physical therapist to provide services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Port Henry, NY.
  • Requirements: Must be licensed and registered in NYS. Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred. Flexible work schedule and competitive salary.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Description: This is a stimulating opportunity to work with adults with intellectual disabilities in residential settings under the supervision of an RN. The incumbent is responsible for: assisting people with activities of daily living skills; caring for people's medical needs; attending and following up on medical and clinic appointments; and medication & treatment administration in compliance with medication policies.
  • Additional Duties:: Provide prompt and proper medical attention to residents' routine and special medical needs. Ensure that accurate and complete records of medical and nursing services are entered into each resident's file. These positions are full time weekend and evening hours.
  • Requirements: A NYS CNA certification in New York State is required. Experience with people with developmental disabilities is desirable and preferred. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively with staff is a must.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) New Position
  • Description: LPN position available in Jay, NY to provide services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings under the supervision of an RN.
  • Additional Duties:: Responsibilities include assisting with the assessment of individual medical needs and coordination of medical services. Providing staff training on health-related issues and ensuring compliance with medication administration policies.

Speech Pathologist
  • Description: Individual needed to provide Speech Therapy Services on a part or full-time basis in our Community-Based Early Childhood Intervention Program in Essex County. This individual would work with a multi disciplinary team to create and implement service plans for children birth to 5 years old.

  • Description: Mountain Lake Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist for provision of services to children with developmental delays or disabilities according to their written plans. These services may include evaluations, direct service, and/or COTA supervision.

Psychologist for Early Intervention Program
  • Description: Join our team and help children to reach their fullest potential. You will work alongside other professional team members to evaluate preschool-aged children in need of special education services.
