Administrative Assistant New Position
Administration Department
  • Description: Assist in managing a high intensity, fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands. Providing advanced secretarial, and administrative support to the Administrative Office. Dealing with a diverse group of external and internal customers. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diverse responsibilities.
  • Requirements: High School Diploma required, Associates preffered. Minimum of two years general office experience required. Must have high level of interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive matters and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrating poise, tact and diplomacy. Use of office machines and proficiency in computer software use including data base management and information processing necessary.
  • Location: Port Henry
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30 pm. However, flexibility essential in order to meet the demands of the job.
Administrative Assistant New Position
Employment & Community Services
  • Description: Include overseeing the day to day operations of the Community Services Office. Providing advanced secretarial, administrative and technical support to the Senior Director, Assistant Director and other department personnel. Maintain billing and documentation for services provided.
  • Requirements: High School Diploma required, Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services preferred. Minimum of one-year general office experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and in the use of office machines as well as enhanced interpersonal and communication skills required.

Support Specialist New Position

  • Description: Seeking an energetic and committed professional to work in a dynamic organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Individual and group counseling, conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and developing behavioral intervention plans, providing staff training and crisis intervention.
  • Requirements: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills necessary. Experience in the field of intellectual and development disabilities preferred. Master’s degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology or a related human services field; or New York State license in Mental Health Counseling. Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification preferred.

Medical Assistant Two Positions Available
Nursing
  • Description: Scheduling, coordination and preparation of medical appointments, along with transportation and support as needed. Assist with procurement and implementation of new medication; medication distribution and counts. Tracking of data entry for assessments and documentation as directed for compliance.
  • Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; two years’ experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Valid Driver’s license.

Direct Support Professionals Several Positions Available!
Mountain Lake Services always accepts applications for the Direct Support Professional positions. We are currently accepting applications for full-time, awake overnight, and relief staff. Many people have found working as relief staff to be an excellent supplementary income or a path to eventual full-time employment with the agency.
  • Description: Promote individualization by offering choices. Encourage people to be independent and actively involved in all aspects of their daily lives. Provide physical assistance, training, counseling, and emotional support as needed. Be actively involved in developing supports and services to each person served. Carry out specific strategies identified in the individualized service plan (ISP) and provide required documentation. Network within the community to help develop friendships and natural supports. The starting rate is up to $19.05/hour. $750.00 BONUS AFTER 6 MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT.
  • Requirements: HS diploma or GED degree and a clean driving record. Previous experience with intellectually disabled people is a plus.

Accountant New Position

  • Description: Mountain Lake Services seeks an energetic and committed full-time accountant to be responsible for all accounting functions related to monthly and year-end closing procedures. This includes preparation of subsidiary ledgers, preparation and posting of recurring, standard, and monthly journal entries and reconciliation of bank accounts, maintaining documentation for policies and procedures compliance, reviewing and analyzing general ledger account balances, providing staff training, and performing internal audits as needed. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
  • Requirements: BA/BS in accounting or business related field is required. Must have solid experience with accounting, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Strong analytical skills are essential. the ability to work collaboratively with staff is essential. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are necessary.

Assistant Director

  • Description: Mountain Lake Services seeks an energetic, committed professional to work in a dynamic organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Essex County, NY. Responsibilities include: supervision and leadership in the overall operation of residences and services; coordinating and supervising daily operations; ensuring coordination with managers, staff, and individuals receiving services; and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal practices.
  • Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Computer experience is required. Past experience providing services to intellectually and developmentally disabled people is preferred. Excellent communication skills, human relations skills, organizational skills, and computer proficiency are required. Ability to work collaboratively with staff is a must.

SEIS/SLP
Special Education Itinerant Service or Speech-Language Pathologist, CCC Provider
  • Description: Mountain Lake Services seeks an energetic, committed professional to work as an itinerant Special Education and/or Speech-Language therapy provider in our Early Childhood Intervention Program in Essex County. Responsibilities include working with a multi-disciplinary team to create and implement service plans for children from birth to 5 years old. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are necessary. A competitive salary commensurate with education and experience and an excellent fringe benefit package are offered.
  • Requirements: Either NYS Special Education Teacher w/Birth-Preschool Certification or NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist w/TSHH certification and CCC’s required as well as a valid NYS driver's license. Experience with young children and families as well as comfort with computers is preferred. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills are instrumental. Ability to work collaboratively with staff is essential.

Maintenance Technician new position
Building and Grounds Department
  • Location: Essex County
  • Requirements: Independently perform building maintenance in residential and commercial buildings including general repairs, painting, cleaning, plumbing and electrical repairs. On larger projects work as a team maintaining equipment, grounds and landscaping.
  • Qualifications : High school diploma or GED preferred, 3 years general maintenance experience and valid NYS drivers license required.
  • Hours: The normal working hours for this full time, 40 hour per week position are: 8:00am-4:30pm with one weekend day per week
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Description: Provide outpatient care in an Article 16 Clinic setting to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have psychiatric mental health needs. Within the clinic setting, develop treatment plans in collaboration with family members and professional staff. This position entails diagnosing, conducting assessments, prescribing medications, and providing psychosocial examinations and emergency psychiatric services.
  • Requirements: An RN license to practice in New York State is required, as well as a Master's degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing from a state-approved and accredited school for psychiatric training. Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is also required. Experience with people with developmental disabilities is desirable and preferred. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills are required. Ability to work collaboratively with staff is a must.

Speech Pathologist
  • Description: Individual needed to provide Speech Therapy Services on a part or full-time basis in our Community-Based Early Childhood Intervention Program in Essex County. This individual would work with a multi disciplinary team to create and implement service plans for children birth to 5 years old.
  • Requirements: NYS Licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist required. Salary negotiable based on education and experience. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.   • Description: Mountain Lake Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist for provision of services to children with developmental delays or disabilities according to their written plans. These services may include evaluations, direct service, and/or COTA supervision.

The incumbent is responsible for: assisting people with activities of daily living skills; caring for people's medical needs; attending and following up on medical and clinic appointments; and medication & treatment administration in compliance with medication policies.
  • Additional Duties:: Provide prompt and proper medical attention to residents' routine and special medical needs. Ensure that accurate and complete records of medical and nursing services are entered into each resident's file. These positions are full time weekend and evening hours.
